- Go to Settings menu.
- Tap Connections.
- Tap Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.
- Tap the switch next to Mobile Hotspot to activate.
The Mobile Hotspot icon will appears on the status bar of your LG K42. On the other device's screen, search for and select your hotspot from the Wi-Fi networks list.
How to Configure Mobile Hotspot on LG K42?
Follow the steps below to use and configure a Mobile Hotspot. You can configure the Network name, Security level, Password and Band you share.
Prevent strangers from using your Mobile Hotspot by setting a password on your LG K42 network.
- Go to Settings menu.
- Tap Connections.

- Go to Settings menu.
- Tap Connections.
- Open the Mobile Hotspot and Tethering.
- Tap Mobile Hotspot.
- Tap Configure in the Mobile Hotspot menu.
- Tap Advanced to view the rest of the options.
- Tap Turn off when no device connected for.
- Select the desired amount of time before the Mobile Hotspot turns off.
